Bushfires Are Pushing Native Species to Extinction
In recent months, bushfires have torn through many states impacting thousands of people and their homes. These fires also have a devastating impact on threatened species and ecosystems. As our climate becomes dryer, the frequency of fires will increase threatening the existence of many Australian species that could be pushed into extinction. Dr Tim Doherty, Associate Research Fellow at Deakin University joined us on The Daily to discuss how our native animals and plants are adversely affected.
