#BYOCoffeeCup campaign changing our habits

In light of the ABC’s recent “War on Waste” program, there has been renewed community focus on addressing our disposable culture in Australia and becoming more conscious about our consumption habits. The series revealed that takeaway coffee cups are unfortunately not recyclable, and that we chuck away 50 000 disposable cups every half hour (or 1 billion a year!).  Following the TV series, Australian reusable coffee cup company KeepCup has seen a remarkable 400% increase in sales, as more and more of us remember to #BYOCoffeeCup.
