Call It Out – Racism against First Nations people

You turn up at work and do your best to be a team player. But you get stereotyped or maybe called names, even directly attacked.
For many First Nations people it comes through bullying or confrontations even on the street and public places. Racism is still a persistent problem on a daily basis says the report, In Every Corner of Every Suburb. It reveals that First Nations people of this country continue to grapple with racist behaviours on a daily basis. Stories from almost 500 respondents can be distressing, but researchers assert the data will help in redressing the problem. The results come from the Call It Out Racism Register led by UTS Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research.
