Calls for Northern Territory Government to Reform Youth Justice System
Following over than 200 recommendations from the Royal Commission into Youth Detention and Child Protection are to be funded by the Northern Territory Government. The $229 million package is an attempt to reform the Territory’s “broken” youth justice system. Minister for Territory Families Dale Wakefield stated “This is about keeping vulnerable kids out of the child protection system”.
