Can animals sense Earthquakes?

Victorians have been facing various challenges over the last couple of months with harsh lockdowns, rising COVID-19 cases as well as a recent natural disaster. The Earthquake which occurred in Victoria on the 22nd of September was a tragic event that impacted many residents. The impact of this disaster left buildings completely damaged as well as left residents afraid and confused. Many have questioned whether the strange behaviour of their pets was a warning that a natural disaster would occur. Lecturer in Veterinary Science, Anne Quain from the University of Sydney joined 2SER, to discuss her piece on the ability animals may have to sense earthquakes.
