How can Australia boost breastfeeding rates?
In Australia, over 90% of women will start to breastfeed in hospital, but by five months, only 15% of babies are exclusively breastfed.
This is despite World Heath Organisation guidelines that recommend babies be exclusively breastfed for the first six months of their life.
This week, we look into breastfeeding in Australia, especially in low-income suburbs. What extra help needs to be given? And how does society need to change?
