The Wallabies are a disgrace.” A snippet from the passionate rant posted by Wallabies fan, Jack Quigley, after the side lost to Scotland last week. 52 000 people have liked Quigley’s the Facebook post, drawing Australian coach Michael Cheika to reach out to the disgruntled fan.
It highlights an ongoing decline for the sport in Australia, both in terms of spectators and in the grassroots of people just getting involved in playing on a club level.
