Can we teach adults empathy, and do we need to?

Empathy is one of the most significant aspects of human consciousness, and an important aspect of emotional intellegence and communication. So, where do we get our understanding of empathy from, and what if we just can’t feel it? Associate Professor John Malouff from the School of Behavioural, Cognitive and Social Sciences and the University of New England joined The Daily today to discuss if, and how we can teach empathy to the adults who didn’t pick up on it in their childhood.
