Can Tennis make you live longer?

Researchers tracked thousands of people for up to 25 years, including what sports they played and when they died. They found tennis players lived longest among the sports they observed. This is ahead of perceived popular activities such as soccer, swimming and cycling. But why tennis? Is the increased longevity solely as a result of the sport itself or can it relate to greater factors?

We were joined on the Daily by Professor Cathie Sherrington Research fellow at the University of Sydney’s Institute for Musculoskeletal Health to provide further insight into the topic of increased longevity and sports.
