Cardinal George Pell has lost his appeal over his child sex convictions in a 2-1 ruling made by the Victoria Court of Appeal. The decision upheld the verdicts of the County Court jury that found Pell guilty of 5 child sex abuse charges in December 2018, over his attacks on two choirboys at St Patrick’s Cathedral. Pell’s lawyers are considering whether they continue the legal fight by appealing to the High Court.
