Carers in Australia will increase by 2030: National Carers Week
This week is National Carers Week, and it’s about celebrating and acknowledging the contributions carers do selflessly for their loved ones. According to Carers Australia, 2.6 million Australians are carers, and in 2020 they cared for around 2.2 billion hours, equivalent to $80 billion.
Carers have faced many challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, and support is always welcome. However, the statistics show that carers will increase in Australia by 2030, and carers will need extra support.
