What if ____ had Feelings? Celebrating Pixar at Vivid
What if toys and cars had feelings? What if animals like insects and fish had feelings? What if feelings had feelings? From the original Toy Story to the upcoming fourth one, and the classics in between like Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, and Finding Nemo, to the not-so-newer ones – Wall-E, Up, and Inside Out, the stories Pixar have dreamt up into reality have become beloved around the world. Pixar celebrates “30 Years of Arts & Animation” at a special Vivid Sydney installation around the Argyle Cut of the Rocks that have become a highlight (pun intended) of this year’s festival. Here to reflect on the legacy of Pixar and its segment at Vivid is the festival’s Lights curator, Lucy Keeler.
