Childcare workers fight for higher wages

Yesterday saw widespread strikes in the childcare sector as workers protested against lower wages in a female dominated industry.
Most educators earn between $20 and $25 an hour which is just above the minimum wage and is a significant issue for those who look some of the most precious members of our community – the children.
Adrian was joined by Karen Thorpe, Professor of Developmental Psychology at the Queensland University of Technology.
