As Australia edges towards their vaccine goals and begin to reflect on lockdown, one thing that has left its mark is the importance of technology during a time of disconnection. Children have only been able to continue their schooling because of the capabilities of the internet today. However, many questions still surround how much screen time should children actually have?

Habits are commonly formed at this stage of life, and parents may fear that their child will become reliant on technology and negatively impact their sleep, education and behaviour.

There remains no concrete answer as to how much or what type of screen time is healthy but distinguishing between positive and warning signs is important for both parent and child
