What to do on Christmas Day in Sydney
What are you doing this Christmas? While Christmas Day for many involves a family lunch with those relatives you only see twice a year, a lot of Australians don’t actually celebrate Christmas.
And amongst those who do… well some of us are just born grinches. For the lonely, for the grinches, for the families that just don’t do Christmas – we’ve put together a list of some of the best ways to spend December 25.
For those with no family around and nowhere in particular to go, you can check out Orphan Christmas. It’s like Tinder for Christmas Day. At the Orphan Christmas site you can register an event that other people can attend, or you can join another group of Christmas orphans and figure out something fun to do.
For a free Christmas lunch, music, good company and fun-filled activities sounds good to you, you can check out Wayside Chapel’s Christmas Lunch and Street party.
You can head along to the The Grounds Christmas Markets at The Grounds Alexandria for last-minute Christmas shopping. They’re open from 9 am to 3.30 pm everyday until the end of the year, including Christmas Day.
