Our City: 175 years of the City of Sydney
A slightly different Dictionary of Sydney this week as Dr Lisa Murray discusses her work on the exhibition “Our City: 175 Years in 175 Objects“.
Located in the lower hall of Sydney Town Hall, this incredible exhibition brings together the civic and archive collections, looking at the council’s role in building, inspiring, governing and leading the city over 175 years.
These stories are told with 175 key objects and items, and supported by over 200 other images, documents, objects, oral histories, film and plans.
It’s open right now and runs until November 11 — you can see it from 11am to 4pm every day, with Thursdays open until 7pm. Oh and it’s free, so don’t miss it!
