She argues the tightening of restrictions placed on Indigenous families under the premise of “protecting Aboriginal children” were highly counterproductive and serves to further divide and alienate Indigenous communities.

Income controls such as cashless debit cards not only shame families as they shop, but there is no evidence to justify their effectiveness.
