“There is clearly a need for policy changes” says economic committee
Australia is unlikely to go into recession in 2016 but there are still key challenges facing our economy. That’s according to the Committee for Economic Develop Australia, or CEDA, who release their economic outlook for Australia this week. As we keep hearing, falling iron ore and coal prices will continue to pose a challenge, and poor business confidence has the potential to have serious implications for our economy. So how quickly can we become the agile and innovative economy Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is talking about? Catherine Zengerer spoke to CEDA Chief Executive, Professor Stephen Martin, to find out.
