Climate Change Denial
You might have heard this week if you’re into the American hip hop or insane conspiracy scene that rapper B.o.B got into a bit of a Twitter war with famed scientist Neil DeGrasse Tyson with his claims, contrary to the last few centuries of science, that the world is not round but actually flat and we’re all being lied to. And although this kind of thinking might seem crazy in the weight of all evidence we do see it, and even accept it, pretty frequently not when it comes to the danger of sailing off the edge of the earth perhaps but when it comes to climate change. No matter how much the science stacks up some people are never going to be convinced, why is that? The Daily spoke to John Cook from the Global Change Institute at the University of Queensland.
