Now if you’re up for a night of art, live music and food as well as taking a nostalgic look at the past, a small Sydney exhibition named ‘Clockwork’ might peak your interest.
Sydney photographer Vanilla Tupu and visual artist Chelsea Cooper have teamed up to present a unique vision of 21st century youth, of young people mediating their lives through trends and cultures of the past.
Clockwork: a vision of youth in retrograde, is a combination of Vanilla’s photography, shot with vignettes of the 60s and 70s in mind, combined with Chelsea’s Warhol-esque illustrations. But while these images and art pieces will recall scenes from the past, new and never before seen photos will be on display, such as a photo taken of Liam Gallagher.
We had the pleasure of talking to Vanilla Tupu last week about her and Chelsea Cooper’s interest in vintage styles and capturing personalities…
