Cobalt Mining: An Emerging Hope For Australia’s Renewables Industry

The renewable energy industry is a growing market, one aspect of this being electric energy – which uses batteries to generate power.
A key element used in these batteries is cobalt, mostly found in the Congo.
However Australian mining company Cobalt Blue have been carrying out operations in Broken Hill to create a Cobalt industry for Australia.
While this could be an exciting avenue for the renewable technology industry, both International competition and advancements in non-battery renewables are possible obstacles.
