Coffee supply expected to dwindle
It’s going to be harder to get up in the morning, or at least more expensive considering the world’s supply of coffee is likely to be cut by up to 50% by 2050. A new report from Australia’s climate institute is predicting that hotter temperatures will cause lasting damage on the supply of coffee, putting pressure on consumer prices and likely negatively impacting the quality of coffee that’s produced. CEO of the Climate Institute, John Connor joined The Daily to tell us more about the Fairtrade commissioned report.
