Collaborations, ‘Fitzville’ and Songwriting with Post

Taking notes from iconic artists like The National and Bon Iver, Post have returned with a brand new sound.

Beginning as the solo project of songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer (and now Post drummer) Matt Wyniet – the group has evolved into an intimate and dynamic five-piece that captures hearts and minds. The group is made up of vocalist Isobel Knight, guitarist Soloman steele, bassist Rhys Stamnas, keyboard Legend James West and, the mastermind behind Post: Matt, who holds down the drums.

The group just embarked on a tour which took them around NSW, and to Victoria. Having seen them at the show in Sydney – their energy was infectious and electric, forcing audiences to halt their conversations and become completely immersed in the music. Reminded me why we see live music in the first place.

The songs on their latest album ‘Fitzville’ are truly a wholistic set of intricate and personal stories. Stories of love, loss, forgiveness and change – they stay with you and draw you deep into a whole new world.

Sol, Isobel and Matt from Post joined Dream State host Jas bright and early on a Sunday morning, chatting all things Fitzville, translating studio edits to live shows and their songwriting process.

Check out their live performance of June here, and listen to Fitzville on all streaming platforms.
