Community Solutions to the Problem of Food Waste
Food wastage is a pressing issue around the world and Australia is no exception. Whether it’s from expiry dates or unfinished plates, tonnes of food from homes, restaurants and supermarkets regularly ends up in landfill. However, in Sydney there are a number of projects tackling the food waste issue. This time on The Daily, Mark Taylor from Addison Road Community Center talks with us about The Food Pantry, a local initiative that provides affordable food access to the community while simultaneously dealing with the problem of food waste.
