Conserving Our Native Freshwater Fish

While the ongoing heatwave continues to microwave Sydney alive, Tasmania is also expecting its first snowfall of the year. The climate crisis is always at the forefront of conversation when polar opposites of extreme weather occur at the same time.

Endangered species are especially at risk. Dr. Amy Tims, postdoctoral research fellow at Monash University, specialises in ecology of freshwater fish endemic to Australia. She was on the line with Jono yesterday evening to speak about her research in conservation biology to prevent the extinction of Australia’s native fishes.
