Consultation started between Anglican Church and LGBTIQA+ members in Brisbane
The Anglican Church Southern Queensland will issue an apology to LGBTQIA+ people for harm caused by the church’s past attitude and behaviours.
The Church began consultation with the LGBTQIA+ community last week, inviting current or past members and their families to share past experiences in its parishes, schools or other institutions. Via email or committee meeting.
The Diocese in Southern Queensland spans from the Gold Coast up to Bundaberg, going as far west as the Northern Territory’s state border.
