Coranderrk

Back in an era of Aboriginal protectionist policies, a group of Aboriginal people stood up and fought for the right to keep living on the land that they had so deeply cared for.

The play Coranderrk tells this real-life struggle in a time when Aboriginal people had little to no rights.

Sophie spoke to one of its performers Jesse Butler about the play’s significance.

Coranderrk, Riverside Theatres, Parramatta, Wednesday 11am (and special Q&A hosted by Jack Charles) and 7.30pm, $38-52.
