Cosplay, or costume play, is a performance art where people dress up like a particular character. If you’ve ever seen Captain America walking around or Ash Ketchum stopping by with Pikachu, then you’ve seen cosplay.
You might even have done it yourself. Though cosplay started in Japan, it’s spread to every corner of the world and is now common in America, Europe, and even Australia.
