Could synthetic milk replace dairy?
More than 80 per cent of the world’s population regularly consume dairy products and recently people are becoming more and more aware of the impact that the dairy industry and the mass breeding of cows are having on climate change through its methane emissions. However, there has been recent development from the company Eden Brew in Australia to counter these problems through the process of “precision fermentation” to create synthetic milk which have been stated to be a sustainable alternative to normal milk production.
