Cybercrime on the rise in Australia
Cybercrime is on the rise: in 2017, six million Aussies were victims of cybercrime, a 13 per cent increase from the year before. But why does this figure continue to rise?
Mark Gorrie is online security company Norton’s Territory Manager and says that many people consider themselves “low-risk”, but engage in common high-risk behaviour, such as sharing passwords and using the same password across multiple accounts.
In fact, 44 per cent of Australians have shared their password with someone else.
