Deal or No Deal?
Today, UK Parliament meets to decide on the outcome of October 31st’s Brexit date and whether that will entail a deal with the EU or not. The Johnson government is being met with internal opposition, as there are many that are opposed to the idea of the UK leaving the EU without a deal. Johnson has been urged to extend October 31st’s Brexit date, but has since decided he will not follow that advice. Johnson has also come out and said he would consider ‘deselecting’ MP’s who don’t agree.
We had Emeritus Professor Clement Macintyre from the University of Adelaide on the line to discuss what this will mean going forward.
