The Death Letter Project: Tackling the Big Question Head On
It might be a question you seldom ask yourself, or one that occupies a large chunk of your thought: What is death, and what happens to us when we die?
Photographer Tina Fiveash asked this question to 50 Australians as part of what she’s called The Death Letter Project. Fiveash asked her subjects to describe their thoughts on death in the form of a letter and portrait shot. What resulted was a powerful, intimate look into the many ways Australians perceive this confronting question.
Tina joined Nic to discuss her findings, and her role in the upcoming Festival of Death and Dying in Sydney and Melbourne this weekend.
