Detecting Forgeries and Fakes In The Ancient World

When it comes to ancient relics, paintings, and even records, you inherently take the experts’ word on it about the value of such objects. But fakes and forgeries can be incredibly convincing, in some famous cases sitting in museums for years without detection. How can you tell the real deal from a cheap knockoff? The Daily was joined by Macquarie academics, Associate Professor Malcolm Choat and Dr Rachel Yuen-Collingridge from the Department of Ancient History.
