Deutsche Bank and Sydney Film Festival Introduce New Fellowship for First Nations Filmmakers

Sydney Film Festival and Deutsche Bank have announced Koori Dunghutti filmmaker Darlene Johnson as the inaugural recipient of the Deutsche Bank Fellowship for Australian First Nations Film Creatives.

The Fellowship awards a $20,000 grant to the recipient further develop their skills through professional development or industry placement, and The Daily’s Ruby Innes was joined by Darlene Johnson to chat a bit about her work, her influences, and what the fellowship means for her and future First Nations filmmakers.
