Dictionary of Sydney: General Gordon Hotel, Sydenham
Sydenham’s General Gordon Hotel went up in flames earlier this week, and was completely gutted by the fire. However the building, in one of Sydney’s most historic areas, has a very interesting past.
Nicole Cama from Dictionary of Sydney joined Tess to talk more about the history of the much-loved pub, which was built in 1932 for Tooth and Co. and designed by architect Sidney Warden.
