Dictionary of Sydney: Kate Rickards
Although her name is not as well known as that of her husband, Harry, Kate Rickards was a woman who took the world by storm. Starting her career at age eleven, she was a gymnast, vaudeville performer, and costume maker, who was once referred to as “the most beautiful trapeze artist in the world”.
