Dictionary of Sydney: Sydney’s Earliest Newspaper

This week on Dictionary of Sydney, we spoke to Dr Rachel Franks about a big Sydney character named Edward Smith Hall, who founded the Monitor, one of Sydney’s earliest newspapers and the Benevolent Society.  He also used to write his newspaper while he was in goal for libel.
