Dictionary of Sydney: Aboriginal Dance

The National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Centre was established in 1975 and aimed to create opportunities for Aboriginal people to work as dancers. The theatre was founded by African-American dancer, Carole Johnson, who guided the exploration of fusing traditional Aboriginal movements with modern dance. Dr Lisa Murray joined Nic to chat about some of our more modern Sydney history.
