Disability communication: It’s a Two-Way Street

Too often, the 1.2 million Australians with a communication disability are wrongly made to feel stupid or inferior because it can sometimes be difficult to hold a conversation. But communication requires teamwork, and there are steps we can all be taking to foster clear communication all round. Tess had Professor Bronwyn Hemsley, Head of Speech Pathology at the University of Technology Sydney’s Graduate School of Health, in the studio to let us know what everyone can be doing to ensure clear communication with people with disabilities.
