Documenting Sydney’s DIY Scene with Jake Ollett

He may claim to be not much of a photographer, but with 1000-plus followers on Instagram, we beg to differ.

Jake Ollett is a Sydney photographer shooting local gigs with his trusty point-and-shoot film camera, a medium almost as ‘scuzzy’ as the bands being shot.

His work has been featured on the likes of Noisey (albeit sometimes without permission), and artists even reach out to him to commission photos.

With no one else documenting some of these gigs, Jake is now a ‘DIY historian’ of sorts, documenting a scene not because he needs to, but because he wants to (and we are super happy that he does).
