Is Dr. Google unreliable?

More people than ever are relying on google to help them make medical self-diagnoses. Many may be skeptical of this, but it hasn’t stopped over 20% of people using social media sources like Facebook for self-diagnosis. Is this dangerous for us to self-diagnose? Is Dr. Google unreliable? How does it compare with other medical advice sources?

We spoke to Dr Rachel Dunlop, an Honorary Research Fellow at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University, now a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Ethnomedicine.
