Driverless Car for Road Safety in NSW

Kyle Loads, the chairman of The National Roads and Motorists’ Association (NRMA), estimated that 94% of the car accidents were caused by human error. He agreed on the development of driverless technology on cars to improve the road safety in NSW. The government had given the permission for its trial later this month and it would be followed by South Australia and Western Australia. Kyle hoped that the drug-driving, drink-driving, or car speeding would be replaced by this new safe and sophisticated car. Can you imagine how a car moves by itself without a driver? Joining us on the line is Quang Ha at the University of Technology, Sydney, to answer our questions.
