Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services

Every year 200,000 people across Australia are denied access to necessary drug and alcohol treatment services. Drug induced deaths have hit an all-time high in 20 years.
The documentary, Half A Million Steps, is part of the Uniting Church’s Fair Treatment campaign. A campaign to advocate for drug law reform and enhance access to treatment and harm reduction strategies.
Half A Millions steps is soon to be released in cinemas and we had Emma Maiden, the Head of Advocacy at Uniting Church, to discuss.
