Dual Citizenship Saga: Stephen Parry the latest member to quit Parliament
The latest parliament member to be found with a dual citizenship was former Liberal Senator Mr Stephen Parry, who had to quit after discovering he was a UK- Australian dual citizen. It has been revealed that Mr Parry had concerns about his citizenship as early as August but did not raise it publicly, instead was advised to stay quiet. There are further concerns about the citizenship status of other members of the parliament and a growing pressure on whether a compulsory audit is needed.
