We don’t know if  earthlings’ can take credit is the biggest radio telescope in existence, a another civilization could be building an even bigger out there somewhere. The project is entitled SKA, which stands for “Square Kilometre Array” and a big part of the telescope is taking part in Australia’s very own backyard.  Have a listen as Victor Petrovic spoke to Australian Astronomers at large Fred Watson, from the Department of innovation of science.
