Eating History: Breadfruit on the Bounty

In 1789, sailor Christian Fletcher and his band of mutineers overran the notorious William Bligh on the Bounty, leaving him adrift in the Pacific. The infamous event was immortalised in the history books. But, dig a little deeper and we reach the real culprit of Bligh’s disastrous Tahitian mission: the breadfruit.
