Ebola Outbreak in The Democratic Republic of the Congo

2014 saw a massive outbreak of the Ebola virus in West Africa. Approximately 2 weeks ago the Ebola virus was identified in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its health risk assessment has been classified as ‘very high’ by The World Health Organisation.

Dr Graham Lyons from the University of Adelaide joined us to discuss how and why this virus came back into full swing, continuing to cause fatalities.
