Educating Australia’s Educators
There’s a teacher shortage! Today we spoke to Rebecca Collie about how we can encourage skilled individuals to become valuable educators.
Overworked and under appreciated. These are the conditions which are influencing experienced teachers to leave the industry whilst also preventing potential newcomers from pursuing an education career. Associate Professor of Educational Psychology, Dr. Rebecca Collie, joined us to talk about the recent government incentives meant to alleviate some of the financial stress on teachers, and discuss what else can be done to inspire Australia’s next generation of educators.
A big thank you to Dr. Rebecca Collie for answering our questions on the state of our state’s schools, and exploring what Australia can do to combat the teacher shortage.
