Asexuality and Media Representation

So it’s pride month, and we are all fully aware of some of the larger populated sexual identities: homosexual, bisexual, and maybe even pansexual like yours truly. But today we would like to highlight and debunk some myths surrounding Asexuality. Asexuality is typically defined as someone who does not experience sexual attraction toward individuals of any gender. Here to explore that more and shake up that definition is Mel O’Connor, a PHD candidate at Deakin University researching asexuality representation in YA Literature.
