El Chigüire Bipolar and the political power of satire

El Chigüire Bipolar is a political satire website that publishes fake news stories to tell the real news that’s not being told in Venezuela’s state-controlled press. Created in 2008 by Elio Casale, Oswaldo Graziani and Juan Andrés Ravell, the website has gone on to garner international recognition and awards for its important work.
Nic spoke to the creators of the website ahead of their talk at the annual Chaser Lecture at Sydney University tomorrow.
